There’s so much to do in Disney World that it can be challenging to actually get everything done on your holiday, in fact for my family it’s practically impossible! So I thought i’d break it up for you all and share my top 5 must dos in each of the Disney parks, starting with my favourite, Animal Kingdom.
1. Expedition Everest
I can’t go to Animal Kingdom without riding Expedition Everest. It’s my favourite ride, I could honestly just keep going on it over and over again and never get bored! Plus you get some gorgeous views of Disney World when you’re on it!
As you can tell from the photo, me, my mum and brother like to take the rides photo opportunity to do some planned family posing! haha
Oh and if you don’t know what we’re doing… we’re doing the Wilderness Explorer signs from UP.
2. Tusker House Restaurant
For great food and meeting characters, Tusker House is one of my favourites! It’s a buffet style restaurant so there’s so many food options.
And you also get to meet Mickey, Donald, Daisy and Goofy! Which is great because it saves you having to spend loads of your day at the park queuing to meet them! Plus their safari outfits are just too cute!
3. Rivers of Light
This is without a doubt one of the best, most beautiful shows in Disney World! I’m not even going to pretend like I didn’t cry when I watched it, because it’s so well done and the message is so powerful that I couldn’t help but tear up! Rivers of Light: We Are One is the perfect way to end your day in Animal Kingdom, no videos or photos can do justice of how amazing it is. But trust me, it is a must see!
4. Russel and Dug meet up
So UP is my favourite Pixar film of all time! I recite lines from the film almost every day, especially Dug’s “I can smell you.”
Anyway, when the Russel and Dug meet up began I knew I couldn’t miss out on meeting them! And queuing to meet characters is a big thing for me and my family to do, because we’re not really big fans on the long queues, we prefer doing character dining instead! But as you can see from the photos, I had a great time. Even my brother had to admit just how funny it was! It really is such a fun, interactive meet up! And Animal Kingdom is the only place you can meet them, so I highly recommend you do it.
5. Explore Pandora – The World of Avatar
Pandora is absolutely amazing! All of the detail is incredible that you definitely need to spend some time just wandering around exploring it! You also definitely need to see it in the day and at night because at night it lights up and is incredible… pretty peaceful too if you ask me!
And of course, you’ve got to go on the rides! If you can only do one, (because the queues for them do get really, really long). Then i’d say definitely do ‘Flight of Passage’ it’s amazing, and like nothing i’ve ever experienced before!
And there you have it, my 5 must dos for Disney’s Animal Kingdom! It’s such an amazing park that you should explore, plus you get to see loads of animals when you’re there too, which I love! I hope this has helped any of you going to Disney in the future! It really is the most magical place and you’ll have the best time! Trust me.
So until next time, Maisie.
